Royal Ascot 2014

Most of the media would have you believe that Royal Ascot was only attended by the Royal family...and a bunch of Wackadoo's. The Royals, of course, looked lovely. The Wackadoo's, of course, looked wacky. Yes, the only hats that seem to be published in the media are the 'crazy' Ladies Day hats worn by seemingly 'crazy' people. But for those of us interested in fashion, particularly those involved in the Millinery trade like me, Royal Ascot is so much more. It sets the bar for summer racing fashion and gets our creative juices flowing. So I wanted to show you all that there were actually some well dressed people(and dogs!) in attendance at Ascot. I know, its shocking!! While Ascot isn't my personal fave event for racewear fashion(Its just a bit stuffy and not as vibrant as the big Aussie race days) there are still plenty of lovely outfits and feats of Millinery to admire.
